Create a Promotion

This guide walks you through creating a new cross promotion campaign. A dedicated deep link is generated automatically so you can attribute performance immediately.

Start a New Promotion

1. Open the Promotion List

From the navigation, open the Promotion section. The list view shows:

  • Active promotions count
  • Deep link integration ratio
  • Total installs (cumulative)
  • Click-to-install conversion rate

2. Click New Promotion

Use the New Promotion button (top-right) to open the creation form.

Step 1: Banner Information

Required Inputs

App Name (Required)

  • Exact name of the app being promoted
  • Appears in the banner and analytics

Partner (Optional)

  • Advertiser or publisher name
  • Falls back to App Name if empty
  • Recommended sizes: 320x50, 300x250, 728x90
  • Formats: PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP
  • Max size: 5MB

Choose one:

  • Native Banner (default)
  • Interstitial
  • Rewarded Video
  • Popup Banner

App Description (Optional)

  • Up to 500 chars
  • Displayed on click detail (if UI supports expansion)

A dedicated deep link is auto-generated with:

  • Standard UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign)
  • Custom parameters reflecting targeting (e.g. audience=new, region=kr)

Platform Store URLs

Provide at least one:

  • Android Store URL (Play Store package link)
  • iOS Store URL (App Store ID link)
  • Web URL (Landing or web app fallback)

Step 3: Targeting Configuration

Audience Type (Required)

  • All Users
  • New Users
  • Existing Users

Additional Target Filters

  • Interest category (gaming, shopping, music, education, health)
  • Age group (teens, twenties, thirties, forties, fifties+)
  • Game genre (RPG, action, puzzle, casual, strategy, sports) if applicable
  • Spending tier (free, low, high)
  • Primary play time (morning, noon, evening, night)
  • Device type (mobile, tablet)

Region Targeting

Multi-select:

  • All / KR / JP / US / SEA / EU / Global

Step 4: Campaign Settings

Schedule

  • Start Date: Default = today
  • End Date: Default = +1 month (must be after start)

Promotion Status

  • Pending (default) – waits until start date
  • Active – begins immediately
  • Paused – created but inactive

Reward & Budget

  • Reward Points (required): Points paid per confirmed install (> 0)
  • Daily Budget (optional): 0 = unlimited

Step 5: Finalize Creation

  1. Review all required fields
  2. Click Create Promotion
  3. You’re redirected to the promotion list after success

Automatic Post-Creation Actions

  • Dedicated deep link created
  • UTM + custom parameters attached
  • Real-time tracking pipeline activated

Notes & Best Practices

Required Fields Summary

App name, banner image, banner type, at least one store URL, valid date range.

Optimization Tips

  • Start broad, then narrow targeting using performance insights
  • Match reward points to competitive CPI benchmarks
  • Use daily budget caps early to avoid overspend while tuning
  • Refresh banner creatives if CTR declines
